  1. It would be great if BT Web Parts adhered to the default O365 theme by default, including Fabric icons and the MS font set (Segoe). Microsoft has done great job bringing an elegant look and feel to their modern environment and it would go a long way toward unifying the appearance if BT Web Parts also adhered to the same theme. If a BT theme was applied, obviously it’d be great to see the same fonts and icons (font awesome or whatever is used) carrying over as well. I realize color matching is on the agenda but fonts and icons…

In 2022 BindTuning started refactoring its entire web part gallery to align with Microsoft's Modern Experience. All refactored and new web parts adhere to the Microsoft 365 style guide, including fonts and icons. The use of the Microsoft color scheme (defined in Change the Look) is also possible. New and refactored web parts, for which this feature is already available, include Celebrations, Divider, Title, Lists, Documents, Image Gallery, People and Quick Links. Slider and Calendar will be released on July 2023 with the remaining following the same trend

  2. Add web part property to allow a custom message to be set if no data is returned

  4. Currently, the only way to sort links is via the position number. It would be great if we could sort via the title. This would save end users heartache from having to update position numbers in long lists.

  5. Currently, all web parts that use CAML for filtering require a static block of text for the query, with no way to change it at run time. This means that the filtering defined in the web part must be hard coded. This is highly inflexible -- what is needed is some way for the web parts to be sensitive to values passed into the page where the web part resides, via something like the URL query string. For example, let's suppose I want to create a news archive for hundreds of news items going back over ten years, with one…

  8. Images on the news webpart never seem to be central and cut off. It would be useful to be able to centre /cover the image.

It would be fantastic if the news items would scroll much like a smart tile but using the individual tiles.

  9. The new social web part has a great feature under layout that allows you to simply turn on and off drop shadows displayed around the Social Web Part. We would like to see this feature implemented on all the web parts.

  10. The following scenario is when you use the people web part as a employee directory on your main intranet page that has high volume.
We would like to see an option that would allow the currently loaded profiles upon page load to be collapsed until the employee clicked on the search box or some type of mechanism. The reason for this is if you were to place this part on your main intranet page there will always be a few employee's who are displayed for the whole company. This can be somewhat awkward for these employee's and it would be…

  12. Add an article offset to the news and slider web part. This would allow multiple news web parts to show the news articles.

You could show the latest 3 news items in a larger layout or slider, and the remaining news with a more compact style.

  14. It would be great to have a custom content search web part. I know it's possible to build a custom display template, but it would be great if bindtuning offered this feature with different display options.

I can't upload an image to this, but I'd be happy to send my mockup. Basically, I'd like to have 3 columns.
    Column 1: Rounded image
    Column 2: Row 1:Name
Row 2: Font awesome icon and job title
    Row 3: Department
Column 3: Row 1: Work phone
    Row 2: Work email
    Row 3: building/location

Hi! We wiil keep reviewing this suggestion to evaluate whether to build a specific web part for this. In the meantime, we recommend using BindTuning News with list mapping to create a Staff Spotlight. You can map name, department etc to the news title and summary mapping intro text to the news content

  15. We need more tile layout options. For example: 2x2, 2x3, 3x4, 4x4, etc. The current design can leave a lot of empty white space on your screen if you want to lay them out 2x2 (without having giant tile images).

The tiles web part also needs to be improved when importing images in. Currently, you can only set the image as the background. It would be great to put the image in the center (like the font awesome icons). That way we can use .jpg .png images of company logos, etc.

  17. The news web part should have a link or button at the bottom called "Show More". This link/button will direct users to the list/library hosting the news articles. This link should be editable so that the site owner or admin can direct the users to the desired list/library.

  18. I would love to have the ability to layout the article pages for the BindTuning News webpart. As is, I hate that it grabs what is the main image and stretches it across the top of the modal without any control, so a portrait ends up just showing the top of someone's head.

This would make for better adoption of BindTuning webparts and happier executives helping to make the decision to spend money on these tools.
