News Web Part: Add picture gallery or slider to article and lead text fully shown
It would be great to implement a picture gallery or the slider within a news article. So when opening the news card in a modal view, several images would be shown below the article content.
In addition, is it possible to show the complete lead text instead of showing the ellipsis?

Add the ability to update colors after deploying a theme SharePoint & Office 365
It would be really nice if there a Guide to or way better commenting in the CSS files for customizing bind tuning templates (SharePoint and Office365 specifically) after deployment in SharePoint that was written kind of like this. http://www.tcs.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/White%20Papers/Best-Practices-for-Designing-Responsive-SharePoint-Site-0514-1.pdf or possibly a tool such as the theme cusomization site that allowed for post deployment updates.
Currently if I deploy a template there isn’t a guide or easy way to change the font style or color without having to go in and override a ton of css manually by looking all the classes and styles up via the dom explorer element…
14 votesHi Michael, thanks for sharing your idea. :)
BindTuning concept is based on a pay-per-use idea, so this is the reason why you can only customize your theme before download.
Our themes, for both Office 365 and SharePoint 2013 can be customized using the customization tool before download, or changed manually after download. For most CMSs we do provide free trial themes, including for SharePoint.
Currently, trials are not available for Office 365, due to a few CMS restrictions, though we are making all efforts to change this and start providing trials as soon as possible.

People web part - List sort by LastName
It would be nice if the People web part have the option to display and sort the users by LastName too. Currently, they are being listed by FirstName only.
12 votesThe refactored People web part, launched in March 2023, allows sorting by Surname when data sorce is set to Azure AD. If you are connected to a SharePoint List, sorting by Last Name is also supported, provided that your list includes that column. The only data source for which sorting by last name is not available is "User and Groups" for which available sorting methods include "shuffle", "name" and "department"

Add 'hover over' effect to Tiles
We use the tiles all over our site and they at great to produce good looking navigational 'buttons'. Although the flip and slide animations are great, I think it would also be great to have a 'hover over' effect also as you get for most buttons on websites that simply changes colour/image?

Remove Clicking to See Filters in Documents Webpart
We get a lot of feedback from users who don't realize you need to click the filters area to open and see the available filters. It would be awesome if we had the option to have it open by default or if the drop downs were more obvious and arranged like the ones in the filters webpart.

Ability to like a news story
It would be nice to be able to like a news story, or comment on one too. Just like you can in modern sharepoint.
8 votesAs we are now revisiting BindTuning News web part, new social engagement features will start being discussed. A new News web part for Modern SharePoint Online is expected to be released later in 2023.

Stock Ticker should include additional exchanges
The stock ticker webpart should also allow for additional stock exchanges. We would like to pull data from NYMEX, FXCM and TVC. We would like to use the stock ticker webpart on our site but currently we are unable to because of this.

Allow for shape selection in tiles
I think a lot of people would like the ability to use round tiles. For example if I wanted to use icons as tiles and then place text below it.
Think like Tires, Wheels, Maintenance etc. for menu of website on the page. It just would be nice to have round options in addition to square.

Keep the Office 365 Group Header functionality when applying a Theme to the assiciated Team Site
The SharePoint Team Site that is created as part of an Office 365 Group includes some great functionality in the Site Title / Header. For example, the Public/Private setting and the Site Classification are show and the user can click to access the other parts of the O365 Group.
This functionality is lost when applying a Theme to the site but it should be kept.
Please reach out to me if you need a screenshot or demonstration of what I am talking about.

Document Webpart Title Link
The new update to the Document webpart (3.0.0.2) took away the ability to link out to its associated document library, and the 'Title Link' feature. Before, we would put the URL of the document library in the webpart title. This feature is no longer available. In the new version, the name of the document library seems clickable (and really should just open out to the associated library) but doesn't do anything. Please bring back Title Link feature, or create a way to immediately open the associated document library for the Document webpart.

Lists WebPart - Document Thumbnail
For the Lists WebPart - the Card and Compact cards can show an image for each item.
The Lists WebPart can display images that are defined as a URL in a custom field or in the built-in "Banner Image URL" field on the Pages library.
SharePoint can display Thumbnails in a list for documents (as detailed here: https://www.sharepointdiary.com/2019/10/sharepoint-online-document-library-thumbnail-view.html)
Add the capability to display images based on the Thumbnail field.

News images and movement.
Images on the news webpart never seem to be central and cut off. It would be useful to be able to centre /cover the image.
It would be fantastic if the news items would scroll much like a smart tile but using the individual tiles.

Calendar - Add Other Outlook Calendars
Add the ability to point to other Outlook (not just mine) - E.g. Conference Rooms etc.
4 votesHi Deon, Thanks for submitting your suggestion. We are currently working on a new Calendar web part for SharePoint Online Modern that will support Group Calendars, besides SharePoint Calendars and SharePoint Lists with a date/time column. Keep an eye on our Change Log later this month.

Auto-minimize the HideRibbon control
If you have purchased and enabled the HideRibbon control, would be great that it could be configured to auto-close the ribbon every time you open your web browser - or hop between machines. The manual click on the control is great but only helpful if your browser session is currently open.
