    I agree! This would be amazing. Currently users would have to use sections within sharepoint. But I would love to be able to do this on the sidebar section.

    As we are now revisiting BindTuning News web part, new social engagement features will start being discussed. A new News web part for Modern SharePoint Online is expected to be released later in 2023.

    You could use the BT News webpart and get its data from the site pages library where modern SP News lives. Then you get the best of both worlds. Thats normally how I set it up.
