Remove Clicking to See Filters in Documents Webpart
We get a lot of feedback from users who don't realize you need to click the filters area to open and see the available filters. It would be awesome if we had the option to have it open by default or if the drop downs were more obvious and arranged like the ones in the filters webpart.
A new Documents Web Part for SharePoint Online Modern was released on March 2023. It includes powerful search, filter and sort capabilities, configured by the admin/site owner and made available to end users. Filters can now be displayed as buttons, just like with the Filters Web Part. Alternative displays include dropdowns or side panel. The look and feel of the Documents Web Part filter should be exactly like the Filters web part. The filters in the Documents Web Part are: 1) not attractive, and 2) super confusing to users who don't know to click on it to see the filter options. I'm not even sure why these filters were designed to look different than the filter tabs on the Filters Web Part. The Filters Web Part has a much better design.
