  1. When selecting a filter it doesn’t make it clear to the user that a selection has been made. This is particularly apparent when you have two filters available.

I would expect the currently selected filter to be highlighted in some way.

  2. So that you can, for example, represent superiors first. We use this web part a lot to display a team within their team site. Sort manually, possibly by drag n drop, would be nice.

This feature request is currently under review, as we plan next steps for People web part refactoring for SharePoint Online Modern. Recent improvements include enhanced sorting capabilities, which know leverage many default Azure AD attributes.

  3. SharePoint search feature includes searching text within the body of the document. Why can't the BT Documents web part provide that same functionality?

  4. It would be great, if we could dial a phone number on mobile phones, when we use the People Web Part. If we click on a phone number to dial, we only get an error message. It would be verry usefull, if we could dial the number directly within Teams. The same way, as it is working on the desktop version.

    Best regards,
    Guido Peter

  7. I think it would be nice to allow customers the ability to create a custom template to display information about people. If its similar to your Filter WebPart List 'Caption HTML' Column.

    Thanks,

  8. I think a lot of people would like the ability to use round tiles. For example if I wanted to use icons as tiles and then place text below it.

Think like Tires, Wheels, Maintenance etc. for menu of website on the page. It just would be nice to have round options in addition to square.

  11. It would be great if we could choose the filter display order when the web part is saved. As of right now, the filters are applied alphabetically. Normally, this is fine. However, we have cases where certain filters typically drive others and should be applied first. Maybe an include an option a checkbox for alphabetical and if unchecked the filters are displayed in whatever order you typed them?

  12. Similar to upvoty https://www.upvoty.com/ but in SharePoint - where user can add idea then a site page will be created on Site Pages. From there user can comment on an article/idea.

  13. We have videos which need to be shared on our SPO site that are senstitve and need to be hosted on a Private channel with login for which we are using MS Stream. Our videos are promoted on the homepage using the Slider module because the features presenting the videos are much better. However we cannot add an internally hosted video there as its on MS Stream. We recommend adding MS Stream to the Slider webpart similarly as it can be used on the video webpart.

  14. The current kludge to add a calculated column with concatenated custom columns is awful. BindTuning needs a mobile responsive List/Library View Web Part that displays custom column values in a sortable, tabular format. Very similar to the out-of-the-box SharePoint List/View Web Part, but doesn't break the BindTuning theme and is mobile responsive.

  15. It would be nice if we could change the Quick Links layout to have a variety of different options (like the New or People webparts). We would like to see the images be larger and the ability to add both a title and description onto the Web Part. The Image could be on top, the title below the image and the description underneath the title (in a smaller font). All kinds of options and different layouts are possible if there was an image size and ability to add descrition.

  16. The stock ticker webpart should also allow for additional stock exchanges. We would like to pull data from NYMEX, FXCM and TVC. We would like to use the stock ticker webpart on our site but currently we are unable to because of this.

  18. The out of the box discussion forum web part in SP is really lacking and offers very limited ability to customize (unless you go into SharePoint Designer, which is still limited). A nice forum web part where the forum manager can set the categories, colors, customize views, enable voting (like you have on this site), etc. would be AMAZING! Our IT shop would use this just like BindTuning: to listen to users' pain points and let users' vote on the things that matter most to them.

  19. It would be nice if the People web part have the option to display and sort the users by LastName too. Currently, they are being listed by FirstName only.

The refactored People web part, launched in March 2023, allows sorting by Surname when data sorce is set to Azure AD. If you are connected to a SharePoint List, sorting by Last Name is also supported, provided that your list includes that column. The only data source for which sorting by last name is not available is "User and Groups" for which available sorting methods include "shuffle", "name" and "department"

  20. It would be nice to be able to like a news story, or comment on one too. Just like you can in modern sharepoint.

As we are now revisiting BindTuning News web part, new social engagement features will start being discussed. A new News web part for Modern SharePoint Online is expected to be released later in 2023.
