How can we improve BindTuning?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  3. Add CSS Insert Web Part

    This is available after adding a theme... Would be ideal to have this as a web part without having to install a theme to do so.

  4. Tiles - open a link in a modal

    It would be helpful if the Tiles app could open a link in a modal. Having control over size (Height and width) of modal would be great.

  5. Support SharePoint usage statistics (most popular items) on BindTuning web parts.

    I've run into this issue with the News web part. I'm not sure if it's an issue with other BT web parts...

    When BT News list items are viewed via News web part, the views are not counted in the SharePoint list Most Popular Items feature. BT support has confirmed that the data is pulled via SharePoint services and that method doesn't affect the usage statistics.

  6. Support for Modern Document sets in Document App

    Modern Document sets have been released in Sharepoint and the default icon that the Document app displays does not represent document sets. Please consider changing this icon to a document set type icon. Also, clicking the document exposed by the app part does not respect the "Open document With" settings within the app.

    Hi! The current Document web part allows opening documents within document sets in 3 different ways: Modal, New Tab or Direct Download. Regarding the icon, an update to use the Document Set icon has been added to the roadmap.

  10. "Sort By" when using the links web part

    Currently, the only way to sort links is via the position number. It would be great if we could sort via the title. This would save end users heartache from having to update position numbers in long lists.

  11. Keep the Office 365 Group Header functionality when applying a Theme to the assiciated Team Site

    The SharePoint Team Site that is created as part of an Office 365 Group includes some great functionality in the Site Title / Header. For example, the Public/Private setting and the Site Classification are show and the user can click to access the other parts of the O365 Group.

    This functionality is lost when applying a Theme to the site but it should be kept.

  12. Dynamic CAML filtering

    Currently, all web parts that use CAML for filtering require a static block of text for the query, with no way to change it at run time. This means that the filtering defined in the web part must be hard coded. This is highly inflexible -- what is needed is some way for the web parts to be sensitive to values passed into the page where the web part resides, via something like the URL query string.   14. News images and movement.

    Images on the news webpart never seem to be central and cut off. It would be useful to be able to centre /cover the image.

    It would be fantastic if the news items would scroll much like a smart tile but using the individual tiles.

  17. Add 'hover over' effect to Tiles

    We use the tiles all over our site and they at great to produce good looking navigational 'buttons'. Although the flip and slide animations are great, I think it would also be great to have a 'hover over' effect also as you get for most buttons on websites that simply changes colour/image?

  18. News Web Part - Show More button/link

    The news web part should have a link or button at the bottom called "Show More". This link/button will direct users to the list/library hosting the news articles. This link should be editable so that the site owner or admin can direct the users to the desired list/library.

  19. Control over modal layout of news articles

    I would love to have the ability to layout the article pages for the BindTuning News webpart. As is, I hate that it grabs what is the main image and stretches it across the top of the modal without any control, so a portrait ends up just showing the top of someone's head.

    This would make for better adoption of BindTuning webparts and happier executives helping to make the decision to spend money on these tools.

  20. Webpart: Upvote Downvote

    Webpart similar to "My BindTuning Idea", "UserVoice" or "Reddit" upvote downvote feature. Probably utilizing SharePoint list's Rating Settings but displaying number of 'votes' instead of 'likes'
